I began counseling in 1990.  In 1998 I helped establish Family Focus Christian Counseling in El Cajon.  I counseled there for 10 years supervising interns and trainees.  I have partnered with churches in the greater San Diego area to help pastors with family counseling.  I am now in private practice in La Mesa, CA.   My goal and greatest joy is in helping couples develop new skills to help make a satisfactory relationship.

For several years, I worked with the PERT team (Psychiatric Emergency Response Team) with the La Mesa Police Department responding to mental health emergencies.  I have been a part of the TERM team working with families involved with Child Protective Services.  I have been trained with Project Safe Start with the County of San Diego to work with children whose parents are in domestic violence programs.  For 10 years I taught part time in Psychology at San Diego Christian College.  I serve on the Board of Directors for the East County Transitional Living Center and the East County Posse.

I volunteer every week training interns and graduate students at the East County Transitional Living Center in El Cajon.  I continue to teach graduate classes at Southern California Seminary in Marriage and Family and Clinical Psychology.
